Listening To The Silence

by Ashley Arielle   Dec 23, 2005

This is what
I do. I
sit in the
dark, all alone,
on my bed,
and listen to
the silence. What
you'll hear, you
can never know.
But what you'll
find, in the
dark all alone,
on the bed,
is a secret.
A whisper. From
where, I'm not
sure. From who,
I can't say.
Listening to the
silence, in the
dark, all alone,
on my bed,
I hear echoes
and screams. Children
playing and people
singing. I can't
cover my ears.
I love to
hear the voices,
that are watching
over me. But
what happened to
yesterday, and when
is tomorrow coming?
The track of
time, I've lost.
When I listen
to the silence,
in the dark,
all alone, on
my bed, it
all comes rushing
back and its
a whole new
high all over
again.
