I'm writing you a letter daddy, the first one in 16 years.
But i find myself with loss of words
for its hard to write someone you don't know
Nor haven't seen for 14 years of your life

I'm trying to figure out where my life went wrong
My therapist tells me part of my problem is i never had a father around
Well i don't think i wanted you around anyway
I mean you left me when i was 2

Your own daughter, your only child just walked out on me
14 years, not one letter not one call, not anything
Its a big world, easy to disappear in
At 9 i find out my fathers in jail, for a crime i never knew you committed

So maybe i was an accident, don't mean you have to walk out on me
So young i didn't understand
I cried for days wanting my daddy,
You no where to be found

I don't miss you, You can't miss something you've never had
You have a Granddaughter now, but I'm sure you don't care
I'm sure you'll never see her, or even me again
A lot has changed since i was two daddy,

I'm not a little girl anymore, I have a little girl now...
Theres no more dolls and no more bottles for me
I'm all grown up now, no mommy no daddy
and not even out of high school...

So i write you this letter daddy to tell you
even though you weren't here you affected my life anyway
it changed cause you weren't here
and if you ever do read this... anybody can have a kid, it takes a Man to be a father.....
