The White Room

by Sarah Davis   Dec 24, 2005

In this bright white room,
Inside there is a wall,
A wall made of purest white,
For me to gaze through.
Inside the contents of this wall,
I see your face reflected,
And as you sit and ponder, wondering "Why",
I'll have already begun to cry,
For, as you see, I loved you so,
So much it killed me inside,
Numbed my heart into cold black ice,
That day you didn't love me too.
The ghostly touch of your hand,
I can almost feel it now,
The burning sensation of your lips,
It drives me completely mad,
The way you used to make me laugh,
You were all my life,
The one right in my all-wrong world.
And now you're gone,
You walk away from my view,
Oh god.....
I'm all alone again and now,
Now I've lost you for all time.
