I Still Love You

by Sarah Davis   Mar 2, 2006

With your arms wrapped around me tight,
Everything felt so right,
I felt unbreakable, safe, and secure.
You were my other half,
The man I looked up to.
Each night I thought of you,
Each night you weren't with me.
Always remembering all the sweet things you said.
Remembering your promise to love me forever.
With every tender kiss we shared,
I began to love you more and more.
Recalling the warmth of your hand,
As you held mine in yours.
We consummated our love,
Showed each other with more than words,
And now it's all gone.
Every promise,
Every I love you," kiss, and touch.
Now I sit and wonder,
Did you feel and see this all the way I did?
Did you even really care?
Or was I just your sex toy,
For you to use and throw away?
I guess I'll never know.
The only thing I can do now is sit and cry,
'Cause I still love you and I miss you.
