I Don't Want To Say Good Bye

From when I can remember you were there
All my memories together we would share
Every Christmas and holiday
Going to every sport event and school play
Every car ride just driving around
The destination we were going was never found
Hour talks about the past
Seems like you grew up to much to fast
I can remember playing baby dolls
Listening to mom and dad talk through the walls
I remember graduation was a hard time for me
Looking at you getting a diploma was unreal to see
Seemed like yesterday you were only in junior high
Going to a friends house is the only time we said bye
Harder to watch was you moving out
I prayed for you to come back home but I knew it was in doubt
Its been three years since you haven't lived at home
Sometimes I feel so alone
Last year you had a son
In a month he will be turning one
Your getting married, thats hard to say
You wont need me anymore you will be on your way
You were just always my cool big sister
Now all I have left is "I'm gonna miss her"
I guess I'm just not ready to let go
I love you as if you didn't know
Its hard for me to do but I'm gonna try
I just don't want to say good bye

* yeah the poem explains itself...hmm I'm just kinda emotional right now not a very good poem I just needed to write some feelings out *

    WOW That was Excellent Very strong and emotional she's lucky to have a sweet sister like you I know it's hard but at least yall can still talk :) so really it's not a goodbye. beautiful poem 5/5 :)

    Wow thats really good. i know how hard it is saying bye to your best friend, your older sister. but i found it wasn't really a good-bye it was just you have to share her more these days! :-) yeah its hard but we gotta do it. just be happy you still have her hunnie!
