Blank Grey Bed

Can't accept the person in the mirror,
It's time to make a change.
Pull back the head,
Cut away all the bad.

Creating another masterpiece.
Up and down her thin arms.
Special, unique with class,
There's nothing like it.

Wiping the past from her mind,
A black canvas ready for colour.
Meeting new people,
Starting a new lease of life.

Scrap out the foundation of youth,
Happiness that should be felt.
Taken away from care and beauty,
Nothing seems like it used to.

Black and grey shadows masking fears,
Killing them off one by one.
Young at heart,
Feeling older each day.

Sun rises above her eyes,
Thinking of another excuse to survive.
No bed to sleep on,
No warmth to share a hug.

Sheets covered in blood,
From a nights events.
Stains on her sleeve,
They won't fade into darkness.

Blade thrown into the skip,
But she finds another to submit.
Tension cut away from the radar,
Now far into the future alone.
