A Christmas Unforgotten

by Prince Enigma   Dec 25, 2005

Once each year I enjoy a precious moment
Decorating a home-made Christmas tree
With ornaments of forgotten love and joy
Doing this from the heart and memory...

On our first time in art class
We sat next to another most profound
Making tinsel out of popcorn strands
As I place them all around...

On the very first Christmas together
A gift I bought to represent you
The dazzling crystal azure angel
As I place it in the front view...

On our second Christmas together
Happier then ever playing in the snow
Putting the carrot where it belongs
I place the snowman's scarf below...

On the third Christmas together
Our hands reach up to intertwine
Illuminating the house with lights
As I place candy canes behind...

On the final Christmas eve together
The beautiful sparkle captures my eye
Cozy and cuddling next to the tree
As I place the shining star up high...

On our last first kiss
I remember our utmost love
An eternity everlasting bliss
I hang the mistletoe above...

Many years have passed by
A reminiscence of happiness
All alone staring at the tree
Filled with sadness and misery...

(Sorry if it's not very good, haven't wrote in a long long long time, will get back into it soon, let me know what you think. Wanted to add so much more to it)
