Routine

by Rich   Dec 26, 2005

So cold and so dark are all of my nights
Longing for you I hold my pillow tight
While holding on, I'm thinking of you
But pretending you're here just won't do
I need you there cuz nothing compares
To the smell of your hair, your breath in the air
It's all i need to cure my despair.
Nights linger on, time passing so slow
Tears falling from my eyes with a constant flow
My hearts feeling empty but has so much to show
How much more pain can this heart undergo?
Waiting for light and the warmth of a fire
Having you here completes this desire
I fall asleep and dream of your presence
And awake in the light still missing your essence
A new day has begun and the day will soon end
Then the night returns and I go through it again
