Fire of Love

by Rich   Jan 7, 2006

Don't be too hasty when starting a fire
Regardless if it is your burning desire.
There's many things that have to be learned
For fire has the ability to burn.
Fires shine bright bringing light to our eyes.
It also blurs vision by clouding our skies.
Fire needs air in order to breathe.
When suffocated, in time, the fire will leave.
Fire forgives leaving nothing but ashes.
Yet sometimes the remnants can haunt us with flashes.
Fire warms us, it comforts from cold.
But when uncontrolled, it's too hot to hold.
Being burnt by a fire leaves scars on your skin.
But the pain you experience are the wounds deep within.
Don't play with fire, it isn't a game
Unless you want to get burnt by the flame.
