Tears fall from my eyes
but no one wipes them away
the emptiness is around me
as I start a new day

I smile back the tears
I hide all the pain
I've already lost everything
I've ever had to gain

The scars keep the memories fresh
and the tears continue to fall
here I go once again
letting go of it all

no use to give my heart away
for it will just be broken in two
theres no use in one more try
when theres nothing left to do

I can only give so much
and i think i've crossed the line
its time to take charge of life
and free all the worries from my mind

i'm drifting away
