Dark Face, Wise One

by John Bender   Dec 29, 2005

I search for you oh wise one
I will hope to see you one day wrestle with my thoughts
Please come and show me what there is to view
I have this golden wind in my pocket yet no one to give it to
Blows along my sadness and repeats itself again
I have come to show you this way
Bring you to this world of weird things to come
As all the glowing thoughts pierce you like a knife
Balls of light shine in your eyes to blind you
Fear not!... I will guide you just walk along that wall
As the music plays in the background you wonder what I am thinking
Flying shadows to whirl around you
Take this time to get yourself back to where you started from
You will need to shield yourself... hail the old mighty wise one
I will run yourself into that dream you cannot escape from
Oops... that black spider has come down to wish your fears
You see the never ending tunnel to the world of darkness
This mist you call upon will free you from your sadness
Just wait along that wall, there is much time to be wasted
I see you now, faces will float through my soul
It is you old wise one, look down upon my face
I shall look down only to see myself in a never ending mirror
