When Angels Cry

by The Spirit of Ash   Dec 29, 2005

At her father\'s command
She sits there waiting
Any essence of love
Is now slowly fading

She says nothing
And is full of fear
She calls for no one
For no one would hear

With an angry expression
He stares with dangerous eyes
Oh how she wished
She could escape and fly to the skies

He walks right over
And grips her arms tightly
She solemnly begins to cry
No punishment was ever done lightly

Her father chucks her at the wall
With no regret; she is a tool
To her he is no father
Just a wicked man; brutal and cruel

Grabbing a large stick
He whacks her in the arm
Tears slid down her cheeks
She is fully at harm

From outside thunder rolled
Followed by an angels tear
More fell and created a river
Of sadness, anger, and fear

Emotionally destroyed;
Physically in pain
She runs out the door
Into the pouring rain

She runs far away
But then stops to think
She has no where to go
Her heart begins to sink

Crossing her arms
She sits by a tree
Drenched by the rain and mud
Her spirit tries to flee

She looks up above her
To the black shrouded sky
She closes her eyes and listens
To the sound of the angels cry
