We Were Nothing

by mandii   Dec 29, 2005

They say a picture is worth a thousand words,
But when I look at ours...
How come im speechless?

Ill tell you why,
Because of all your worthless lies,
And all those nights I used to cry,
I’ll just kiss them all goodbye.

We were the perfect couple,
The one everyone wanted to be.
We were better than the rest,
You could say the absolute best.

You put me through so much pain,
You’re something I’ll always regret.
Don’t know why you did it,
But then again, you’re such an idiot.

So the next time someone tells me a picture is worth a thousand words,
I’ll just smile,
Take a while,
Remember
We were nothing.

I think you did a good job on this poem a lot of people think poems are about like bad feelings but i believe that the good poems come from whatever emotion you are feeling.. its amazing how you are only 14 and can write like that you have a gift dont let it go to waste!
