Rejected Love

by Kasey Slatter   Dec 29, 2005

Boy you kill me,
With every word the knife cuts deeper,
With every kiss the voices whisper,
Let him go.

Days pass by like an hourglass,
You never meant for this to last,
Look into my bleeding eyes,
Tell me that they weren't all lies!

A hole in my chest,
Tried desperately to fill,
With your laugh,
Your smile,
Your compassionate words,
Carved into my heart.

But your love wasn't true,
Hell is what you put me threw,
Punished me for tending to your every need,
Hurting me though I cared for you much indeed.

Now crimson tears trickle down my flushed cheeks,
I lay in the hospital bed waiting for that last kiss good-bye.

My heart stops beating- it beat for you.
My final breath swallowed- I lived for you,
My final tear drops- I cried for you,
Now the pulse stops- I died for you.
