Drowning

©I am drowning in a sea of pain,
The tortured souls of those before me,
Hurting, crying out from inside their broken hearts,
Life has passed before their eyes and has left them sinking,
Deep below the surface we hide away our sorrow.
I bury myself in a deep cocoon, preying that my misery will finally break down,
Hoping that my longing to die will soon come to an end.
Knowing that I hurt inside from my mistakes.
Here and now I follow those who perished,
Leading me into a dark light, leading me to my demise.©
