Black Rose

by xdiamondwingsx   Dec 30, 2005

This place I'm at, an ultimate low
Why did you leave, why did you go?
The sunlight is tinted, an icy wind blows,
I don't wanna believe it, but the river still flows

Wilted petals strewn on the ground,
Tears of rain fall all around
There's nowhere to go and nowhere to hide,
I can't escape these feeling inside.

I don't want to cry because I know others feel worse,
But the song of my life has written a brand-new verse.
It's the worst thing that God could disperse,
My heart is broken under this evil curse.

Glossy eyes and shattered dreams,
Moans of pain and agony's screams,
I'm ready to die and get away,
'Cause I never stop crying for you, night or day.

Just come back, don't leave me here,
I don't want to drown in these relentless tears,
I'm dying inside, conquered by fears,
Broken down from the devil's sneers.

Come back, come back, come back! It's no good
You're happy in heaven, being right where you should.
But please don't leave me alone, the pain's more than my heart can enclose,
Wilted and dead ... a black rose.

~ This poem was dedicated to my Auntie Stella, who was born on September 11, 1927... And after much pain and misery, not able to even eat or talk... died, 2 days after Christmas: December 27, 2005. I loved you so much, Auntie! I'm going to miss you so much. :'( I've never had anyone close to me die before, and there's no worse feeling in the world. I hope you're happy where you are in heaven, with Uncle Doe and Auntie Doris. You can probably talk and walk again and you must be having lots of fun. Is it beautiful there? Let me know when I see you... Please wait for me there. ~
