When the snow finally is left in patches of gray
The sun shines brighter, rested by her long sleep
And the night is shorter, the hours are longer by the day
The cold is dulled, Winter is thrown down deep
The flowers slowly unwrinkled their fragile stems and leaves, covering the earth in green
Yawning in the bright day, just woken up from a long rest
Started by one seed, one gene
Smiling at spring and summer, winter they detest
Animals come back from caves, and with the south wind
The air is with a heavenly scent
Young ones are playing gaily, some pawed, some finned.
People going on trips, camping within the safety of a tent
Everybody rejoice, and happily sing
For the winter has retreated back and now get in the mood for spring!
