Fake

I am so beaten and bruised,
I am lost, hurt and confused,
Carry on with this false smile,
All the while,
I know its fake, wrong,
One more day and it will be gone.

I am alive but dead inside,
You see that I smiled,
But inside I cried,
Life is hurting me,
This pain stabs my heart,
As the blood falls I watch with no emotion,

Death is so instant,
So peaceful,
Life is so long,
So brutal,
Which to decide,
What to do,
If only I knew.
