I'm Waiting. [But So Are You]

by Not Bulletproof   Jan 3, 2006

I'm staring out this window,
Waiting for your face to appear,
To wipe away this sulky smile,
And the silent, unseen tear.

I'm waiting for your kiss,
To overwhelm me with bliss.
A smile I want to spread across my face,
The smile only you can set in place.

You're what I'm searching for,
Standing beside the store's closed door,
Wondering if you're right out there,
Waiting for me to come make this fair.

I'm waiting by the phone for your call,
The one you're waiting for me to make.
I deserve this entire brutal fall,
And you deserve none of it at all.

I'm waiting to find a better time,
To say the things I feel for you,
But I never know if you want me to,
Plus the words are hard to find.

I'm waiting for a moment that I lost,
That I pushed away at both our costs,
And I'm waiting for your forgiveness,
To take away my sadness.
