The Magic of Fire

by Heather   Jan 4, 2006

The blackness disappears as a warm and burning glow swiftly and silently appears.

The strands of orange leap and play moving with they're shadows on the wall.

It's tongues dance to a unknown melody, watching it move so mysteriously, it seems to silently and softly beckon and call to me.

it slices through flesh and bone ,
yet how does it comfort me when I'm alone?

A thick, grey strand of fog floats toward the sky as the fire, as quickly as it came, slowly begins to die.

Ashes lie upon what was once burning coals, What was is no more.
Reminiscing, I remember what magic the fire bore.
