When the World Stops

by Sharon   Jan 4, 2006

When the world stops turning and all is still
No one to hurt, no one to kill
When everyone stops, and no one thinks
Then will you find yourself at peace
Cause I cant go on just knowing
That you cant trust yourself
not only that, but the one you love
is your worst enemy

when all is dark, no light in me
Then will you begin to see
Just how much you mean to me
and just how much I'm willing to bleed
Cause I could die if I wanted to
And it would be all for you
Everything I do and everything I say
I do it for you every day

When all is quiet, your deaf to the world
Lips just move, and your ears curl
Inside out and outside in
The cruelest state of mind your in
cause you cant just shut out the world
Like you just cant hear
because someday it could turn on you
and the fact you cant listen will be more than true

When the world stops turning and your all alone
Nobody will be there to guide you
through this world you do not know
to any random place you'll go
Cause that is what you always do
you drift around, floating aloof
I know you too well to know its not true
That when the world stops, thats what you'll do.

That's a very good poem. I really admired the structure you used. The flow was good and the meaning behind it was great. Kepp up the good work.
