Ever watchful moon

by Forsaken Lullaby   Jan 4, 2006

I feel so cold and lonely
I'm like the moon
Watching the sun fall Beneath the ocean
The red light reflecting off the water
As if the sun had slit its wrists
And the blood is flowing into the salty water
While I just sit and watch it die
Was it me that droved the sun to death
or something unknown?
The sun slowly sinks beneath the horizon
As the world turns to Darkness
There I stand all alone
For hours I just sit and wait watching
The lights below me vanish
Like a Candle flame going out
The sun has risen from its grave
to chase me away.
To greet the living and frighten nightmares away
But still I shall sit next to my companion
Invisible and quiet
till it sinks beneath watery gates
and vanishes...
