One More Cut

I'll stop, I tell myself
Just after this last cut
One leads to one more
And I become a bloody s*ut

Tonight will be the last
I say when all is done
But light comes creeping in
And I scorn and curse the sun

Morning has fallen
And I look at my bloody mess
Who am I kidding?
I love myself even less

I can't give up my true love
Although I can give up my life
I look around my bedroom
I look to find my knife

The cold blade buries itself it my wrist
I gasp and watch the blood run warm
Another cut my heart screams
Each slice comes like the perfect storm

After I am done my artwork
I drop to the floor
I smile and look at the knife
What are good friends for?

Today I feel I have accomplished a lot
As my mind starts to slip and I fade away
This might just be my last night after all
This might just be my last day
