Little Puppet Girl

by Kristen   Jan 5, 2006

Pull the strings
To the left and right
And be happy
That the girl is always in sight

Make her dance
Around the floor
Even if she is tired
You can make her dance more

Let her be wild
As you shake her about
She can’t complain
Sing talk scream or shout

Make her curtsy
For entertained guests
But once you are done
Put her in one of her fancy chests

Little puppet girl
In her black tutu
Dancing around
Her motions untrue

Cut off her strings
And let her be free
Sit and wait for what happens
It won’t take long you will see

Standing up
And flexing her wooden self
Standing up
On the wooden shelf

She starts dancing
That little puppet girl
Watch her
As she will twirl

She is true beauty
She is true grace
But she can only show one emotion
On her painted face

Watch her on her toes
As she dances to you
Her black lace shoes
Matching her tutu

Little puppet girl
You are your own
Now let your true movements
Freely be shown
