Enchantment

by Munir Mezyed   Jan 6, 2006

The goddess of rain enchanted me
I beheld my ghost in the bed of clouds
Wedding the sky

I beheld it coming through mist and rain
Waving and calling me
When I approached nearer
It fluttered its wings and flew away

I entered the temple of rain
And beheld a fairy weaving water
Into lace
Spreading it over the sky
Riding the horse of wind

I traveled from myth to myth
Bestrewing the spell of poetry into space
To enchant and intoxicate the world
