Waiting hoping wishing thinking

Once dead hope is rekindled
with a little spark of light
surrounded by the dark tunnel
i slowly follow in vain
maybe leading to happiness or pain
i search but there is nothing to find
than a new friend comes in a time of need
understanding as she leads me to believe
that maybe I'm not the only one
who has been struggling inside
a sense of accomplishment
of knowing how it feels
words come out as we both relate
her words describe my world
her experiences mirrors mine
her wisdom i have never seen
ahead of her age, ahead of her time
i think i found a new friend
in this dark gloomy town
to sit and wait with me
as time passes on
and no answer has come
shes thinking i hope
or maybe just forgotten about me
i dream of her thoughts
her wishes her needs
i wonder if she even cares
that I'm hurting inside
anticipating, pondering, formulating
possible consequences and replies
thinking about all the lies
Ive been fed through my life
but only time will tell
how this story ends
