Salvation For All

by Poetvoices   Jan 7, 2006

It was something I'd heard so many times.
It was said in patterns. Like melodical chimes.
It is like the problem that you could never solve
but then it hits you. Your mind just needs time for things to evolve.

Now I get it. It's all too clear.
I won't soon forget what it was I did hear.
There was man who had a son he knew he'd have to give up
to save the ones he loved the most. Their sins his son's blood would cover up.

Besides, he knew he'd see his boy again, and many more children he'd gain
if only his precious only child could suffer through the horrid pain.
He only turned his back on Jesus one difficult time.
He had to do it to save many more from hate, destruction, and crime.

Now, God and son are seated together at the holy throne.
They've extended an invitation for you to make Heaven your eternal home.
Please tell me that being with God is what you will ultimately choose,
because now, my friend, you cannot say you haven't heard the news.

Although I must admit I'm not really a religious person, I have to say that was amazing. One of the poems that must be read two or three times to make sure I understand all the meanings. It really makes you think... great job.

Hmm, it's a very interesting topic. Although I will never write a poem here, because people have a bunch of different life styles, I found this one to be really interesting and I began to realize that I read it more than once :D

Anyways, I can't say that I like the format of the poem, but that is easy to fix right?

    5/5

    Keep up the good work.
