What If?

What if we really forgave and forgot
Would we be something, something we're not

What if we fed our stomaches and food fed our souls
Would we care who was fat or old

What if there was no such thing as friends
How would we live without meeting wits' end

What if the reaper gave up true life
And God struck us down with a swing of his scythe

What if this wasn't really a poem
But a story to make you appreciate your world and your home
