Love Race

by N8   Jan 8, 2006

Im trying really hard
but you seem to not care.
You tell me everything in this world
isnt always fair.

But I thought our love
would stand and be strong
but you decided to shove
and make its outcome not be long.

Im still wanting you
and praying you were here,
but I know the truth
you are exactly where
you should be when Im like this
away from me
so I cant miss
your touch, your smell, your kiss
for a day of remorse and dismiss

but I understand now
in my heart, deep in the core
we will not be able
to become much more
then a hug and a kiss on the cheek

but Hurry now
before the sun goes down
and all the nights
you had with me
are now just a
fading memory

love is in the eyes of the beholder
so many people say,
but love is the same
just another rainy day

the depressing thought
always seems to cross my mind
what if I got shot,
did I have enough time
to do the things I wanted to do?
Was my life a waste?
Im running with you
in this deadly love race.
Were at the home stretch
our love is about to end.
Im running out of breath
my lifes coming to an end

I just want to die, take away my life
lay by your side and end this race.
