The Truth

by Emmah   Jan 9, 2006

Sometimes life gets hard,
A little too hard to take.
Sometimes the smile on my face,
Gets a little too hard to fake.

You can't see I'm crying,
Because my eyes don't shed no tears.
I keep it all inside me,
My troubles, my worries, my fears...

But when I'm all alone,
The razor becomes my relief.
Drawing patterns across my skin,
Drowns out all my grief.

Of course you didn't know,
People like you never see.
The band on my arm isn't just for looks,
Its hides away the real me.

Don't pretend like you care,
Lord knows that you don't.
Don't say you'll always be here for me,
Because I know that you won't.

Go back to your life,
Of glitter and glam.
Get out of this friendship,
While you still can.
