To my Unborn Child

by Lauren Beam   Jan 10, 2006

Look at you so young and mild,
who would think that you would want a child,

well i didn't want one, it just might be true,
i might be blessed with one, it's from you.

my son or daughter will learn to love,
to give lots of kisses and many hugs.

to have fun and run and play,
to live life to the fullest each day.

to want to make mommy and daddy happy too,
and not forget to say i love you.

to learn to pray, every morning and night,
to never hurt someone on purpose or start a fight.

to have many friends and stand up for others.
to grow up and only have one lover.

to go on to collage and study hard,
to not think about all the mean things people say, but just to disregard.

and most of all, to yourself stay true,
and remember always, me and daddy love you.
