Lonley days of January

Winds growing cold in the lonely days of January
white snow flakes slowly fall from the sky
i look out the window, longing to see you
painful memories fill me inside

the long dreary days grow more intense
more screams, yells, and fights
more anger and dismay
more lost tears i shed at night

I've never been alone this long
you don't understand, even though i see you all the time
my parents rip me apart at home, when your not there
behind closed doors is a world i try do hard to hide

i long to tell you everything that goes on
i wish you'd be there alone with me
but instead I'm locked away again
waiting for the lost days of loneliness to fade away...
