Blithe spirits (Dodoitsu)

by Jacklyn   Jan 10, 2006

Carelessly, crazy in love
happiness cradles her heart
blinded and young to the world
as their spirits soar

~The Dodoitsu is a fixed folk song form of Japanese origin and is often about love or humor. It has 26 syllables made of four lines of 7, 7, 7, 5 syllables respectively. It is unrhymed and non-metrical.~

Awesome job! you write so well, I was hoping for a longer more in depth poem but that's okay :) nice to see your experimenting with different styles. I tried out a couple but I'm not satisfied with the results. the syllable counting just throws me off...anyhow, I'm going to continue trying...

keep up the good work, never stop writing :)
