Soon

My wrists cry the tears that no longer fall from my eyes
the blood forms a pool around my unfeeling body

the love I once held so safe deep within my heart
seeps out through my scars
leaving behind only a fading memory
of what a smile feels like

you fear for my life
as I beg for it to end

watching as death hovers above me,
taunting me with its sweet relief,
my soul cries out for mercy

and with doleful eyes tilted towards the heavens
i drive this blade in deeper

relishing in the cold freedom that has begun to engulf my body and soul

I will be with you soon my love. You need not shed one more tear for me
