I say that you need to know,
it's unfair to throw our friendship out the window,
we could still work it out,
it might take awhile,no doubt.

We both know it won't stay like this forever,
not when we promised to be best friends forever,
I try and hold this raging river of tears back,
but the tears that run down my face are black.

Why don't we stop and understand each other better?
Maybe write each other a long letter,
we need to stop before we break each others heart,
