Somewhere Out There

Somewhere Out There
8/22/04

Somewhere out there she waits for the one
Never believing in what the horoscope says
Living to reach the end of another long day
Clutching to the dreams of a childhood now gone

Thoughts of her prince now just a shallow dream
She ponders life alone in the big city
Eating for one has lost its luster
She always sleeps on the cold side of the bed

Somewhere out there she lost her spice for life
She wishes it would find her standing here
In the prime of her being with fire still controlled
She needs the comfort of a woman desired

The world flies by her like a tornado on wheels
She needs it to slow down for just a breath
No one can hear her screams at night
Just another nightmare for her to dwell upon

Somewhere out there she confides in her mind
Just a shoulder to cry upon would be nice
But a man to understand what drives her inside
Would make her world stand still
