Jesus.

He gave up everything he had
Life, blood and tears
He could have left us all for dead
Drowned in our fears

He loved us so much
I don't understand at all
Why he gave his life
Just to watch us fall

He never said a word
Even though we cursed his name
We were the guilty disgrace
Yet he took the blame

He told of things our simple minds
Could not comprehend
His heart was loving
Though some hearts he could not bend

He had thorns pierced into his head
Nails in his hands
We left him for dead
Refusing the promise lands

What is wrong with us?
Why can't we accept
That all we need is
Jesus.

I cry out to you now
We don't have much time
Hoping I could reach you somehow
With this one simple rhyme

So if you're feeling lost
Like you need someone to love you
You wanna be forgiven
It's already taken care of

Fall on your knees
Let his arms embrace you
Your every hurt he sees
Listen, hear him say
I love you.
