A beacon in the void

by Arkon   Jan 14, 2006

I\\\'m not one to follow the rules
Playing my guitar on the corner on a stool
Songs about nothing, songs about life
Songs about living life right

Now I know you\\\'re thinking, what right way is there to live
I kid you not when I say theres more than one right way to do it, but only one right conclusion
I might have lost you already, but you have to give
It\\\'s hard to explain, what appears to be an illusion

When you can see ahead,
And you\\\'re being ch0ked from behind,
Chances are you\\\'re already d3ad
Or maybe you\\\'re just losing your mind

I admit, this may not make sense
But I can\\\'t make another mistake,
I refuse to find another high fence
They lied when they said life\\\'s what you make

Now, I can\\\'t say I live a productive life
I skate everything I see and my guitar is my wife =D
This doesn\\\'t have to be the most serious thing in the world
But when it builds up, that\\\'s when the tornadoes twirl

Smoking each cigerette to the filter
Making the most of everything I have and what I don\\\'t
And these flowers may wilter
But this poem doesn\\\'t have to rhyme

It\\\'s not your rating I\\\'m looking for
It\\\'s advice I\\\'m giving you, that I hope you store
Shatter what you don\\\'t know to be real
I know you think this is fuct up, how can something I can\\\'t feel be real?

It\\\'s kinda like love
You\\\'ve got every reason in the world,
But you fill it all with doubt, till you meet that person
Then you know what you\\\'re set on.

Find it.
Destroy it.
Rebuild it.
