Cold

by PaperAngel   Jan 14, 2006

Coldness comes,
Dark, damp hands gripping at my soul,
Breath misted in the air,
Fading into nothing more than a memory,
Softly falling,
A world of no existence,
Weakened power rising through my veins,
Calling out with a scream so gentle,
The pain racing through my head again,
Is there anyone there,
Or is it just the silence,
Whispering insanities into my mind,
Do we know what our fate brings,
Or are we lost in a sea of emotion,
Coiling round our hearts again,
A final thought of bleached nothingness,
Creeps through the shadows of my imagination,
Feeling my spirit rip out of my body,
A last smile flits across my lips,
Dead now peace comes flooding back,
No tears, no shame, no cares,
Frozen in eternity,
Forever just an empty space in the universe,
Devoid of future, past and present,
Let my fingers glide down your pale skin,
My icy lips press against yours,
So full of life beneath my dead kiss,
Blue veins lace my arm,
Bloodless and cold,
Drained of all happiness,
Drowned in my own sorrows,
Silvery moonlight flows through the frosted window glass,
Washing through my pale image,
And I beg you now,
Never remember me,
My winters promise to you,
Cryptic secrets held so near,
I'll never forget you,
My dear.
