It's time to keep going
yes skinned knees are easier to fix
than broken hearts

We learn to deal with what we have done
back then the only disease we thought we could get
from little boys and little girls was cooties

We are growing way to fast
We might say life's not fair but it's worth living.

Broken hearts will mend with time
Just like skinned knees,
and there will lie a scare to tell the story of what happened.

The mistake might last forever
thats why we need to protect ourselves,
like we did when little boys and little girls
had cooties
