Scissors

by Stephanie   Jan 15, 2006

Cat scratches and female lashes
Up from limbo and her ashes

Sweet sentiment and deceitful lying
Promiscuous perfect, but she's crying.

So desired, so wanted,
So pretty, ..so buy it

She's all alone tonight
Nothing seems like its going right

There's a young girl staring at her from her mind,
Reflections show what has come in time

No longer does the mirror show who she is
And what she knows.

And as she stares and her stereotypical features
She wishes once again to just be different.
As she took the scissors to her hair,
She almost smiled, and then glared.

Wanting the answer to appear.
The word "serenity" slips from her lips
Muttering words from her dreams
She seemed so lost, but nothing is what it seems.

Blinking, a sharp intake of breath,
Almost snapped out of her ritual trance,

Devoured in smoke; she breaths,
For she hasn't in almost 10 years

She is alive, now dance.
Dance, she repeats, Dance

Away from the mirror and almost the floor,
She has been born, once more.
