Pretending to be Someone

by Violet   Jan 15, 2006

They want you to be,
just like them,

If your not like them,
then your not good enough,

If you don't wear the same clothes,
talk the same talk,
and walk their same walk,
then your just a bystander.

If you don't convert to their standards,
then your just not good enough

Pretending to be something,
someone,
your not,

It kills you, it eats you up inside.
Soon all thats left of you, is who you pretend to be.

A meaningless face, a bland personality.

Someone who you're not,
and it's such a struggle to go back,
back to your own self,

Some waste a lifetime,
pretending to be,
someone their not.
