Full moon

by RED   Jan 16, 2006

Jessica falls away by her own prey
maybe shell wake up
and look at me
someday
maybe shell believe me
maybe she leaves
who really knows
as long as she does what she can

she hates change
prefers them big bucks still
shell never change
just like her daddy who walked out on her
but does she care
when the wind blow through her hair
because shes pinned in a short skirt
running from the cop car
for standing on a corner
even there is no bus
she thinks shes being pretty
looking all glitzy
chewing on gum strawberry
running from the cops that
are after her fast.

Shell buy a dress and then cut it in half
theres really nothing thats too good for her
she really hates it when she forgets to laugh
at the men who try as if they can afford her
but as she walks
she always sells something
she couldn't if she talked
so when everything is as if its hurt.

but then theres this girl in the picture
trapped through the glass
silent and hurt
and didn't graduate
mama wasn't always straight
dad was an alcoholic
all the tears make her cloudy
her eyes run rowdy
and all she wanted was to be famous
win at miss beauty
go to church ever month
and look after herself fully
but you cant do that
now you are everything the guys
want.

and runaway now
hes torn your fishnets
while you ran away
and he will follow you
because you're 19
and counted as stray
no one knows you
you're nocturnal to your neighbors
so she runs away down to the local store
where her friend works today
No as she runs she trips up
and lands on the ground
damn those cheap heals you bought
and the man has caught up with you
and then you thought
as he grasps his hand round your mouth.

And I'm so sorry
I'm so sorry Jessica
you had to go away
I'm so sorry

And now on the news you are no where to be found
your family looks everywhere
and like a stray cat
your posters up on every available space
you've vanished without a trace.
I'm so sorry Jessica
please come back
and just like that
like god has snapped his fingers
Jessica wakes up in a field
she has no idea where she is
she catches a hitch hike to the dawn
she arrives in the morn
at their door
just woke from under a moon
a full full moon.

i found this one day
