Daddy

by cait   Jan 16, 2006

She ran through my room, tears fleeing her eyes
she had finally got it out, she had finally cried
i watched her, puzzled and scared
ask what was wrong? i wouldn't`t have dared
i turned around to see my dad so, so angry
i resisted against the words that i wanted to scream
so how does it make you feel to see her run away from you
how does it make you feel to see her cry for an hour, maybe two
and all because you just had to be selfish and mean
now she tries so hard not to scream

eighteen years old, not a care in the world
a beautiful, selfless, and intelligent girl
i`m proud to call her my sister
i`m proud to have her
she doesn't`t let things affect her life
she lives without a second of strife
i look up to her, because she has everything i could ever need
but you, you take no heed
you take NO heed to what you`re doing, what you`re saying
it`s all lies, you know it as well as i do, everything

so tell me, dad, father, daddy
what makes you think you can say the things you've said to her, or me?
do you honestly think that slamming all the doors will fix everything?
you don`t even know who you`re kidding.
you don`t think i hear it all, you don`t think i`d take the time to care
but it`s not like that because i have so much time to spare
this is what it`s like for me, and i will defend her till i die
because the only thing you`re good for is making her cry.
