Lost Loves`Shadow

The day had finally come to say goodbye
No words were left to be said
We knew our time together had finally died
No more loving thoughts running in our heads

We looked at one another with misty eyes
Knowing in our hearts we had to part
No more allowing our minds to lie
Off into the real world for a brand new start

We hugged for one last time
Telling ourselves it was for the best
But the truth hurts, so we leave it behind
We are just as confused as all the rest

No one knows what makes a relationship last
Just two people giving it a go
Until lost loves shadow is cast
And we start again with eyes tightly closed

True love will find us again one day
Hopefully we won`t make the same mistakes
We will walk on the clouds and kindly push away
Those lost love shadows, once prominently displayed
