Questionable Emotions

by Janet   Jan 16, 2006

How can love be unspoken?
As fragile as a heartbeat,
frozen in time, mid-swell.
Invisible yet obvious,
iridescent and bold,
dark, unmistakable,
unmentionable, untold.

How can love exist,
disappearing through thin air?
Falling like a waterfall,
floating to the ground,
how can it move so fast
yet waltz and sway to the beat?
How can it freeze its temperatures
yet slowly burn and heat?

How can you be in love
yet never know a thing?
The tangible passion rising,
only to be trampled and stomped,
ripped to shreads,
terminated without care...
just how can it be?
