Waiting, Always Waiting

by juss an allycat   Jan 16, 2006

Thus to fall for you, my dear
Ceases to amaze myself never
Are we to be second time lucky
Or another experience in form of memory

Waiting, always waiting for you
To confirm these feelings to be true
Wanting, always wanting you
Disappointment, time after time

You make claims, I am naive
Forever waiting with no response
Effort, always making an effort
I try, but thus dreams come not true

Shy, you say you are...
Is thus an excuse I shall accept?
I remember waiting, always waiting for you
I stay away at time, unwillingly, unconvinced

We are no further from the start
Yet so close to the finish
Standing still in time, surely you cannot expect
To wait, for me to forever wait, for you?

Surprise me, you make a move
Toward me, in the right direction?
Is it, or was it a merely what may have been
I fall for you no longer, I want you no more

Perhaps I am acting rash, in retaliation
I do believe, I know the signs
Though I don't believe I waited for you
Accept my condolences
You come too late
