Stick It Through

by lacy byrum   Jan 16, 2006

When the world turns its back on you
And you just don't know what else to do
When you feel like you are just so alone
I'm always at the other end of the phone

I know I have told you over and over again
But remember I am your best friend
You can count on me night or day
I will always listen to what you have to say

I might not know what to say or what to do
But I promise to try to help pull you through
All I want to do is bring happiness to your life
All I want to do is make you want to stay alive

I will lend you my ear if you want me to listen
I will lend you my shoulder if you want to cry
I just want to see you be in smiles and glisten
Because when I see you hurting, I want to die

After you told me that you wanted to end your life
I felt like I was stabbed over and over with a knife
I am so worried because you have just so much doubt
After I hung up, all I could do is cry my poor eyes out

All of the pain and suffering in your poor hazel eyes
Could make the coldest hearted person want to die
I will do anything that I can to make your eyes bright
I will take away all the darkness and let in all light

Please try to stick it through and remember I'm here
You can always count on me, I am always near
You hold a part of me that no one else does
If you kill yourself, you kill both of us
