Nightmare

He looked into her eyes,
and thought "its just a dream",
he had fallen in love,
at the tender age of seventeen.

He knew she felt the same,
she showed it with every breath,
they talked about everything love, life, death.

People told them it wouldn't work out,
their "too young and too different"
but blinded by their love,
these thoughts were insignificant.

But one day he saw her,
paler then he had ever seen,
after 6 years together,
came the ending of his dream.

He saw her lose every thing,
her hair,her smile,her fear.
she knew it was her time to go,
she wished he could see that clearer.

He didn't want to see her go,
he thought he couldn't breath without her, live without her.
but his thoughts turned into reality,
with an awful encounter.

He cried for days and nights,
he cut so deep to relive his pain, but his pain was only blurred by the sight of blood, spurting out of his vein.

Then he thought about that day where his dream had started,
and how how he felt for her was only love and care,
but things don't always turn out right,
he woke to a nightmare.
