The Dark Castle

by Fallen Angel   Jan 16, 2006

In my big dark castle
I hear creeks all around
I sit by the fire
With its warm glow I feel safe
There's a loud bang in the distance
I look around to see what it is
But I see nothing
Another crash comes from the other direction
Yet I still see nothing
The only thing I see is the glow of the fire
In front of me
I begin to feel frightened
So I light the candle beside my chair
And begin to look around
I look up the tall stairs
The creaking of my big lonely castle
Begins to get louder
My heart is pounding like a
Stampede of wild horses
I begin to walk up the stairs
And I hear a smash from
The ballroom
I jump,
But keep going
As I creep up,
I see the curtain at the
Top of the stairs shake
I stop and get this look in my eyes like a
Deer caught in the headlights
I keep going
But my steps seemed slower
I step through the curtain
To see gallows in my bedroom
Luckily there is no one hanging
From it
But then the lightning strikes
And I see a ghost hanging there
In the gallows above my bed
I scream and start running
Down the stairs
But as I hit the stairs
I trip and start tumbling
Down the dark staircase
When I hit the bottom
I see a shadow coming up
Behind me
I stay quite still for a moment
Or two
My breathing keeps getting
Heavier and I begin to feel
Even more frightened
I look at the wall
And the lightning strikes once again
And I see the knife in the
Hand of the murderer
I quickly look back
And in a split second
My life was over.
